Pat's cakes

Objective: The goal was to create a logo and visual identity for Pat’s Cakes that captured the homemade charm and deliciousness of her signature fruit and caramel cakes. Pat is known in her community for baking everything from scratch, so it was important that the branding felt personal, inviting, and full of flavor.

Approach: We used a bold, retro-inspired serif typeface to reflect the nostalgic feel of homemade baking, paired with playful fruit illustrations to highlight her signature ingredients. The juicy, colorful fruits pop against the black and white text, giving the logo a fresh and fun personality—just like Pat’s cakes. The combination of classic and modern elements speaks to both tradition and creativity.

 

Results:The final logo feels sweet, memorable, and perfectly suited for cake boxes, signage, and social media. Pat was thrilled with how it brought her treats to life visually, and since rolling out the branding, she’s seen a bump in custom orders—especially for her fruit-filled favorites. The branding has helped her cakes not only taste great, but look the part too.
